CM Aarthik Kalyan Yojana: Objectives

The main objective of the CM Aarthik Kalyan Yojana is to provide better opportunities for the youth, under which the youth who apply will be given financial assistance of Rs. 50,000. The Scheme provides low-cost equipment and working capital to the youth belonging to the scheduled caste category and BPL category and living below the poverty line. The Madhya Pradesh government has taken this step to reduce the increasing unemployment in the state, so that better opportunities are provided to the youth for their better future.

When did the CM Aarthik Kalyan Yojana start?

The CM Aarthik Kalyan Yojana was launched on August 1, 2014, by the Chief Minister of the state, Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan. Under this scheme, financial assistance is to be provided to the poor BPL class citizens and the working class of the state. By which he can establish his own business.

Eligibility Criteria Of the CM Aarthik Kalyan Yojana

To be eligible for the scheme, an applicant must meet the following criteria –

i) The applicant must be a native of the Madhya Pradesh State.
ii) The age of the applicant should be between 18 and 55 years.
iii) The applicant must be a member of the Scheduled Caste Category.
iv) The applicant will be eligible for assistance under this scheme only once.
v) If a person is receiving assistance under a Government Entrepreneur/Self Employment Scheme, he will not be eligible under the Scheme.

Implementation of the scheme

The nodal agency for the implementation of this scheme is the Managing Director, M.P. The State Cooperative Scheduled Castes Finance and Development Corporation Limited, Bhopal, will be the Chief Executive Officer/Executive Officer through the District Interim Cooperative Development Societies. Proper financial provision for the scheme will be made by the Scheduled Castes Welfare Department in its departmental budget, and accordingly, the physical and financial targets will be decided district-wise by the Managing Director.

Financial Assistance

The maximum cost of the project under this scheme is Rs 50,000/-. Under the scheme, margin money assistance will be 50 per cent of the project cost.

Application Process

Visit the official website msme.mponline.gov.in and click on ‘CM Aarthik Kalyan Yojana’. Choose the scheme of the department under which you want to apply. A new page will open. Log in by entering your created account with your user ID and password, and press the “Submit” button. Now the application form will appear in front of you. Fill in the application form with the correct details and upload all required documents carefully. Finally, submit the form after checking thoroughly.

Benefits of the Scheme

The scheme will provide better options to the citizens of the MP state to start their own businesses. Under this scheme, the poor BPL class citizens of the state have to be provided with equipment at a low cost, and the necessary capital for the work is to be provided. Under the scheme, 15% of the project cost will be provided for the general category, and 50% of the project cost will be provided for BPL News, Caste Area, Tribal, and Other Backward Classes. Beneficiaries: street vendors, hand carts, drivers, bicycles, potters, barbers, etc., will benefit through this scheme.
