Educational Qualification for PGIMER Recruitment 2026
Before applying, it is very important to check the academic qualifications. The same qualification is not required for everyone. A qualification is based on the requirements for the post.
- For the Senior Resident post, an MS or MD is required.
- But the degree must be recognised by the National Medical Commission; the degree will not be accepted.
- For Junior/Senior Demonstrator, an MD or MS in the relevant subject is required.
- But for non-clinical subjects, a postgraduate degree is required.
- For the Senior Medical Officer post, a PG medical degree is required. But if there is experience, it is better.
- Sometimes experience may also be required.
As per the government cut-off date, the degrees must be completed within that time, and applications cannot be submitted with incomplete degrees.
PGIMER Recruitment 2026: Age Limit
- Age is different for different posts.
- But as per government rules, SC/ST, OBC, and PWBD receive relaxation.
Application Fee:

- General/OBC/EWS: 1500 rupees + transaction fee
- SC/ST: 800 rupees + transaction fee
- PWBD: No fee
Payment must be made online through a debit or credit card. Once the fee is paid, it will not be refunded, and without paying the fee, the application will not be completed.

How to Apply (Step-by-Step Detailed):
Go to the official website of PGIMER and go to the recruitment section. Select the post according to the advertisement and register. After registering, the application form needs to be filled. Along with that, a photo, a signature, and an academic qualification have to be uploaded, and, if a category certificate is needed, it has to be uploaded. Finally, after paying the fee, it has to be submitted. A copy of the form should be printed and kept.
